Very cool topic, following.
Wasn't aware there's a Sandringham kit out there, good to know, I might go for the Ryanair one at some point in time 😉

It's a very cool subject; The first decals look lovely. Following.

Nice job..👍👍
Like the engine's you made up.
Did you finish the Little HB white Yak kit ??

Oh my goodness, I love the dio, and the plane turned out beautifully. Thanks, Mr. D for bringing this back into my feed.

Très joli ce diorama. Pas facile le travail de l'eau, mais là, c'est parfait. Félicitations.
Album info
I made it difficult to replicate the right engines for this civilian version of the legendary Atlantic Epic hog.
The decals are perfect although a little thin and therefore fragile.
I am happy with the result. We have to congratulate ourselves from time to time.
A bit of history:
The F-OBIP is a former Short Sunderland mk5 equipped with American engines Pratt and Whitney of 1200cv in place of the Bristol Centaurus of previous versions. After the war, it was converted into a Short Sandringham passenger and freight transport.
Unique Sandringham used by the "réseau aérien inter-insulaire" (RAI), a French airline that operated in the Pacific islands, it accumulated more than 6000h of flight without serious incident from 1958 to 1970.
Repatriated by the French Navy to the air and space museum in Le Bourget, it was severely damaged by a storm in 1984. Since then, its renovation, still ongoing, is well underway.
