Jadlam UK have just announced this at £89.95. It is the Italeri kit (see SCM full history), which I bought at 49.80 Euros in April 2020...half the price. Even the Italeri kit now is 60 Euros, prices have skyrocketed...

Please explain your claim that this is the Italeri kit. There seems to be no connection and I really doubt there is. I have three kits at home. Version A from Tamiya and Meng and B Version ex Italeri. There's quite a difference between all of them.

Brand new tooling, Test shots and component shots confirm this. Comes with stand and alternate landing gear to display hover mode

OK maybe I am misreading the Scalemates diagram in the Full History between 2022 and 2023. It is known Italeri and Tamiya have a tie up for the Japanese market, would be interesting to get the definitive info from either of them

Yeah, I'm with you. It always gets me on who is connected with who. To be honest, I've bought the Italeri B Version just a week before the Tamiya A version was announced and thought directly I should have waited. Because it is obvious a B Version would also follow.

OK good to know. TBH for me, on the price difference the Italeri kit is fine for me, I cant airbrush to high standards anyway 🙂

When it was announced it was mooted that the f35b was the italeri kit reboxed by Tamiya. I bought the Italeri on the basis Tamiya wouldn't flog a dodgy moulding. Somewhere along the line Tamiya have made their own moulds and the joint venture just disappeared like a puff of smoke. I'm hoping it's not that the Italeri one is their usual dodgy fit kit. !!! 😬

If you look carefully the link between the two has been removed on the full history diagram, but a small vertical line has been left 😁 where it was de linked …

There is now a YT video preview with sprues and manual and this B is more comparable with Tamiyas F-35A.
