AREA 88 : "The Final Showdown - Part 3" (F-18 Hornet)

What a nice box. I love old kit boxes. 

Old kit sprues, on the other hand... well, I like a challenge. 

All the parts cut and ready for assembly. 

But first a few electronics. I'm glad I have some pre-wired LEDs standing by... so much easier. 

All assembled... and found a friend, well, enemy I guess... 

Electronics added. Ready to be put together. 

Old kits LOVE putty. 

I like my new airbrush... the undershading is much easier to do now... 

Well... that was an easy paint job. I hope the replacement canopy arrives soon. 

The paint job was so grey, so I added some darker shadows to break it up a bit. 

The canopy has arrived! Time to get Kanzaki in his chair! 

Decals on... time for wiring up everything together... 

The decals are a bit silvered... but oh, well. 

And... we're done!
