2015 Dodge Challenger SRT8 - wip
This is what I'm starting with.
I got some pictures of the target. The rims aren't stock anymore. One Challenge.
And this are the current rims.
The main opticial change to the face lift is the grille.
Mostly seen: the changed rear lights. That will be *the* challenge. But there is an idea 😉
I got a die cast Hellcat wide body 😄 in 1/24 and try to adapt the rear lights to the model kit (1/25 as you see)
After taking the die cast apart, the parts of the rear lights are ready for to build a cast of.
The first shot of the parts. Useful.
The next challenge is to fit the 1/24 parts into the 1/25 body
Cutting and sanding. I like my drilling machine and files.
After half an hour it went Pretty good.
The rear deck spoiler removed as well.
After a layer of filler, the Body can be inspected.
Well done.
Some sanding needed.
The paint job came out nice 😉 Rattle can black. After the clear cote....
... it came out delicious 😎
Without polishing and - believe it or not: it's still a rattle can paint job 😄

Testing the new wheels on the Challenger. Now it has 19 Inch rims. The tires are from the kit, the rims by Fujimi.
Lowered the Chassis. Next will be the black paint to the rims.
The rest of the parts are Ready for assembling.
Headlights done
Rear lights. 😄
It's done. First pictures side by side to the basic model kit
