Clear coated and polished. Quite a lot of orange peel here as I didn't sand the metallic black paint (something I read not to do somewhere). Will learn from this mistake. Fortunately you can't really see the orange peel with the naked eye.

Had a fight with one of the brembo decals so had to hand paint the lettering of one of them. Not too fussed about the difference. Can you tell which is which?

First time trying to do a heat stain. Not the best, but learnt a lot. I had coated the exhaust with black panel liner beforehand for a particular effect. Realised I shouldn't have when the clear went on.

Starting a new build while the previous one is completed yet? That's illegal!

Haha yep guilty. Mojo was fading a little on the Evo, so needed something new. Evo will be done soon though!

nice start already, Peter

Better than anything I have ever done Pete! Outstanding build. Heat staining is not a science or follow me process, it is art. We all have a different way of doing it. I do an Alclad Chrome over Alclad Black Base and then use Alclad Hot colours to give the effect but others do it their own way and get better results. Love the clear sprue idea with the reservoirs. I will copy that!

Thanks Peter! For a first try I'm stoked at the result, but there is definitely room for improvement. Keen to try different methods over time and see what works best for me. I now know that clear blue and clear red combine to make brown, not purple lol.

Awesome.do not worry much about those caliper decals. Both look great, and it would be hard to see both at the same time anyway 😉

The genes are strong in the Hardy family. 👍
I am in awe of the superfine detail you have applied. Especially the brake fluid reservoir on the handle bars, (image 50) just stunning. 🙂
Maybe you can both compete at the next QMHE. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Respect. 👍

Haha thanks Spanjaard, I figured the same in the end. One of those things that will bug me because I know it's there lol.

Wow, Kerry. Such kind words. Thank you so much. I still feel like I don't have a clue what I'm doing most of the time though haha. I think I'm quite a few models away from competing just yet!!

think about it the other way... who knows if the manufacturer has not done marketing changes and have slightly different logos over the years. the owner of this bike replaced one that that was accidentally damaged, and got the calliper with the new logo 😉
for somebody who does not have a clue, your models looks better than other that are supposed to know 😄 😄

Peter. I think your two inside cylinders are running a bit hot mate. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Looking wonderful Peter. Your satisfaction level must be off the scale right about now. 👍 👍 👍

Real men build motorcycle models Peter, the rest just play with plastic! 😂 Beautiful build mate, I hope to see more bikes coming our way. I know you have a couple more there!
