CV-2 Lexington in 1/700 scale by MENG. This is my first aircraft carrier model, and I had A LOT of fun! The build was straightforward but I added some extras to make it more interesting: realistic self adhesive wooden decking (airbrushed in Deck Blue to be accurate for the time period), anchor chain, Starfighter decals markings (cause MENG gave stickers wtf!!!) for Wildcats, Dauntless and Devastators, rigging (I didn't do all of it, ship nuts will hopefully forgive me) and last but not the least Eduard aircraft carrier crew (these guys are 2.5mm tall). Model was painted with Vallejo acrylics , wash was done with AK paneliner and some subtle chipping was done to make rust marks and rust streaks and I used AK pencils to weather the red part of the hull.
Model number 5 for 2022.
