Mikoyan Gurevich Ye-152 Flipper
Received this as a freebie.
I am building it in between assembly steps on my Revell 1:144 B-52G & B-52H. Ugly looking rear fuselage underside seams. Will have to use alot of putty.
wing to fuselage joint, not toooo bad.
Drying. A very basic kit, no cockpit, no wheel well detail, no engine exhaust detail. The scale thickness on those missile fins is at least 8 inches alone!
I accidentally removed the mounting tab for the nose cone. Ooops. Will see what I can do.
Left side wing to fuselage joint is better than right side. I filled in fin to fuselage gap with super glue after this photo was taken.
Sprayed with Krylon Premium Chrome Silver rattle can. Really shiny! Painted nose cone, tail bulge antenna and u/c doors and wells med green. Almost done. Just going to apply decals.
Oh no! Decals are shattering! Hmm. I will have to order some 1:144 Soviet stars and numbers from Mark 1 decals.
3/4 right front view.
Right side view.
The Mark I 1:144 Soviet stars and numerals arrived! I used the 600mm stars as this is a MiG-21 derivative. I probably should have used the 700mm or 800mm stars.
Here she is, finally decaled! Starboard side view. Missiles will be added later.
Port side view. I like it.
Top view. Again, the stars look a little small. Next time I will do better!
