Lockheed P-38J Lightning No. 5000 YIPPEE

Not Minicraft, but a knockoff! Close enough! 

Assembly instructions. I received the kit with forward fuselage and wings already glued together. 

Marking instructions. 

Parts trees. It took me only 30 minutes to assemble this little forked-tail devil. No real problems, however some filing and filling of seams was necessary. 

And now for a coat of "vermillion red" paint. Bottom view

Oh no! Decals shattered! Duh! I should have oversprayed with Future Acryllic floor polish first. Will do so for the remainder. In the meantime, I put on the kit provided US insignia.

Received new YIPPEE decals for a Minicraft P-38 from Lee Fogel. I can't thank you enough.
