1982 Corvette C3 Collector Edition - Monogram - wip
In August 2021 I painted the body ....
...and other parts quick and dirty 😄. It was planned to build it together with my grandchild.
Time flies by and two other kit went over the starting line.
Somehow I couldn't force me to get the kit done.
While I started the 1978 Pace Car (left), I decided to build a Collector Edition out of it.
Before I striped the color, I tested to paint pinstripes by hand instead of the decals (pointing to the Pace Car!)
By the way. The interior has changed colors too. I'm not really sure about the brown. Where I am sure: the silvertone has to be more gold.
Repainted the seats and door panels again. It was to silverish. I mixed the color by my self and I'm satisfied with it. It will be the same color like the body will be painted.
Tried to catch the right colors for the multiple colored interior. On one original car it looked brownish as well as greyish. So that's my interpretation.
The undercarriage is about 6 parts - including the inner rims. Done.

It depends on the light, to see the right gold tone

Started stock and painted yellow, I changed my mind because I started a 1978 Pace Car. Now I'm aming for the 1982 Collector Edition.
