1966 Pontiac GTO - Double Built
all sprues sorted for the same paint
the interior
flat black parts
gloss black drivetrain
the interior. take a look at the carpets. decals there for it.
assambled dashboard
part 103 won't fit. perhaps widening the holes from the clusters before painting.
better shot from the carpets 😉
A small weakness: the hood does not fit as i wished. on the frontshield frame (radius) and has hardly any gaps. I was not sure if I get in trouble after painting.
Now, after sanding, i'm alright with it.
here are two spots (left & right side), wich must be reworked.
now the dashboard ist completed. the handle was no chromepart. its painted with the Molotow pen.
beautiful redlines . love it!
and completed the chassis.
so, here it is. first layer of blue.
wet sanded the roof 🙁
started the second GTO...
assambled interior
dashboard ready to install
Both undercarriage ready and on the wheels
two more layers of paint and wet sanding i'm fine with the result.
waiting for chrome and clear coat
same scratches on the second GTO
same, like the barrier blue...
engines painted and ready for wiring
sanded, waiting for the new paint - just ordered a new rattle can "Fontain Blue"*
hurrah! first layer of "fontain blue" is done
starting wiring...holes for sparkplugs drilled
assambled the belts
steeringpump, alternator, batterie and brakebooster done
Throttle and fuellines are done
also brakeline done
both engines installed
forgott to install the hoses for the heater
and the kompleted distributor
disributor installed and the firing order
first engine done
second done
here it is: bmf work done, clear coat done.
and bodies ready. decals done and final layer of clear coat.
Next Steps: Enginebay black painted, rubber on the windows done
windows installed
firewall and front with cooler installed - don't forget the mirror! (i forgot it on the barrier blue :-D - but fixed the fault)
the barrier blue near is completetd so fast...thats why i document the fontaine blue. It (test-)fit so well, faster than made pictures.
a look in the interieur
preview for the first time
Look at the right side from the dashbord to the sidepanel - its even
here it has about 1-2mm "overhang"
Front ready for mounting
won't fit perfect! - on both cars!
had to thin out the frontend on the bottom
same on the rear bumper. the pins will not get in their holles. cut it and done.
now...its only a teaser.....thought they are ready...
whats going on? i had to overpaint the trimlines...
for example, how i work on to psint the sides. some masking, the stripes / sides are wet sanded
more masking...
one first preview.
