WIP 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air
I started also with removing of the molding lines. On the fenders I had to sand carefully a step of half a millimeter down fender to windshield.
I scribed also the panel lines all around
I filled the scratches with superglue and sanded it smooth
A lot of work.on all parts to clean them before glueing.
fillered and painted the body with primer
after wet sanding
painted the roof white
and two layers of turqoise.
clearcoat is missing 😉
basecoat of the body color
first layer clearcoat to have a better look, if the color matches
clearcoated 😉
Chassis is painted and can start assembly
Two layers of clear and I'm fine.
One spot on the hood needs some attention. I sand it out and will polish the hood
Axles attached
And the engine completed
Now I call the body done.
All photoetched part glued on and the final coat of clear coat is done.

Bumper? Terrible....
...quick attache? No.
Sanded all molding lines down
Fits ??
Of course, it doesn't fit on the passenders side
Filled the gap.
some sanding and the bumper fits nicely
next work....the angles from the headlights didn't match with the body....
...and the "holes" needed to be widened
after all: marriage!
