AREA 88 - F7F-3 Tigercat "Mickey"

An oooooold kit... but a good one! 

The kit had been started, so time to count all the pieces and clean them up 

Will be using the engines from the Academy F4U-1 Corsair. Not sure about the props. 

Raised panel lines... grrr 

Scribing... ever so slowly. 

Boxing in the wheel wells. 

Dry fit with a bit of Tamiya tape. 

Old, built-in engines painstakingly removed and ready for new ones. 

A good fit it seems. 

Removing raised panel lines and scribing new ones more or less complete. 

Adding some details to the wheel well and landing gear.

Air intakes added to wings 

Interior wheel well structure added.

Engine details added 

Yellow oil tanks painted 

Dry fit to se how it looks 

Engines primed and painted. 

Painted the engines black and dry brushed on the chrome instead.
