Voir et Savoir 37 - Macchi C-202
I love the F-Toys boxes.... what's inside? Let's find out!
Pretty much already put together... well we can fix that.
Broken down into all the parts needed. Let's see if we can get rid of that paint.
I must've been rubbing off the paint too vigorously, because I ended up removing part of the left wingtip. So, we'll switch gears and get the wiring for the motor done instead..
A bit of a tight fit, but it's in there. It was hard to get it centred properly, but I got it done as well as I could.
Time to test the prop...
And... we have spin!
So, moving on. I used some hardened CA glue gel to fill out the missing wing tip (a bit blurry in the pic though) and I added in a pilot to the VERY cozy cockpit.
Tiny little windows masked and ready for the first coat of paint.
Base coat on... and looking good so far.
So THAT"S what a brush is used for! Hand painted camouflage. It was a bit tricky, but I think I like the result... I might have to use that brush thing more often.
Took two tries... but the tail pattern is now painted on. I knew I shouldn't rush it... but I didn't listen, so it took twice as long as it needed to.
A mix of "kit" and "homebrew" decals and we're all done but the base wiring.
