I've been modeling for about 60 years. Started with cars, and pretty much anything made of plastic. Started with military models in the 70s. Helped start an IPMS chapter here, now we are, as far as I know the second oldest IPMS chapter in North Carolina.
Have competed on every level of modeling contests. Won my first contest in 1959. Have been lucky enough to win several awards at the IPMS National level. Building is STILL fun, I plan to keep it up
as long as my eyes hold out. BTW did 4 years in the United States Marine Corps, went to Viet Nam, did not like that at all. Married 1 son, 1 step son, 4 grand children, ages 5, 8, 19, & 25.
