Model T Fire Truck - WIP
Scrape, scrape, scrape! So much scaping!
Putting together the "cage" was real fiddly.
Trying to get the lamps to look half decent. Good enough.
Doesn't spell it out in the instructions but you have to remove these tabs in order to mount the bell and spotlight.
Figuring out how to do brass.
I like how they turned out
Really liking the Humbrol liquid mask. Works brilliantly for those tricky jobs.
Glad I invested in the punch set. Mainly got it to do dial faces but it works great here for the lamps.
Drilled a hole for the brake lever to fit more securely. Required cutting a bit off the bottom of the lever too..
Out of action till I replace these broken magnifiers. Bummer.
Forgot to mount engine before gluing on the cab!....
New tool. Works really well so far. Not sure how well it will handle wear and tear.
Really enjoy using a wet palette.
Ready to assemble
The hub plates came out okay. Not perfect but good enough.
Fiddly, fiddly, fiddly!
Slowly getting there
Back is complete
Car is complete. Next is the figures.
Assembling the figures. The standing figure's torso was a job to get glued. Had to resort to clamps and a health amount of cement.
Skin first.
Did base coats and then semi-washes and washes. Just need to dry fully and assemble.
