Just a couple of shots to give y'all a better idea of where I'm headed with the project...
Picked up a set of the Moebius 10-hole chromed "Alcoa" wheels for the project (#1010)...the tires are nice (even though the sidewalls are only detailed on one side), thewheels are another story...I have many issues with the quality of this kit, and it's manufacturing...I'll put together and post a review in a couple/few days...back to my quick update...
As you can see below,
I've temporarily assembled a front wheel/tire, and a rear wheel/tire set (from the Moebius kit), and was finally able to make a "stance" mockup...the top of the cab has been chopped a scale 3", and the cab has been sectioned 3" from the leading edge of the door back, and the entire cab has been channeled over the frame...I haven't decided how I'm going to handle the "face" of the cab yet, so I haven't removed the 3" section from the door's leading edge forward yet...the second pic will give you an idea of the extent of the cab mods so far...
I can't really go any further body-wise until my airbag kit shows up...then I can begin fabbing the suspension, and decide how I'm going to deal with the fenders and front inner wheel houses..
The interior tub now needs a 3" sectioning (to match the cab), and I'm considering opening and hinging the doors...
