MS: 18th Century Longboat - WIP

 

Attaching the bulkheads. 

While doing the fairing I noticed one of the bulkheads was not properly set, so had to unglue it and reseat. 

Fairing one one side only. Quite a delicate process. 

Added the transom. 

Added the bow fillers 

Finished fairing... finally. 

Bending planks 

More bending 

Using pencil to color the edges of the planks to give a "caulking" effect between the planks. 

Took me more than 2 hours but finally got the top planks laid down. Had to bend them three ways. This is going to take a long time. 

Another 2 hours to get the second planks down. The skill seems to be in bending the planks every-which-way. Hopefully I get better... 

Figuring out the planking plan. Got *one* "garboard strake" plank down. Only took another 2 hours.
