1992 Honda Prelude Si VTEC - wip

Crap. Somebody put a Fujimi kit into the Aoshima box. 

What's in the box? 

Red plastics. I don't like it. In the newer kits by Fujimi, the parts are black molded. I know it because I have some in my shelf and compared them.
Under the tape are the mirrors. The picture was taken before the painting. Nearly forgot it.

My decals are defect. They have flaws

Sticked the floor pan and interior together.  

 

Closed the holes for the rear deck spoiler 

Already base coated 

 

Nearly good. Some flaws in the passengers door :/ 

Clear coat is done 🙂 

After a little wet sanding and polishing, I was through the rear ends edge 🙁 So I spotrepaired it. Crossing fingers how it turned out.  

The paintjob (clear coat) went not that good. The trunk lid won't get the same glossy finish like the rest. The rest was perfect. 

Another failure: cracks and crinkles. I was not in the mood to do a repair again. 

So I stripped the paint... 

...and fillered it again after wet sanding. 

New year, new paint job. I'm satisfied with it.  

 

 

 

Done. 

The decals were not usable after the flood last summer.They have a lot of cracks. I cut them out and glued it with the paper in place. A medium thick layer hand painted clear cote make them looking not that bad. When the body is over the chassis it will be good enough. 

So I'm done with it 🙂 

I love that front. At last, I added metal stickers on the nose an the rear. They suck. What a tiny crappy work, when the stickers fall apart 

The Prelude-Logo broke in three pieces. I did my best. The H fell apart in two pieces. At the back and at the front. I hate it. But it looks good.
