The IAR 80 was designed and built in Romania. It drew its first blood fighting against the Soviets, and boasted performance similar to the famed Messerschmitt Bf-109E. Even though an early war design, the light and nimble IAR 80 could be a formidable foe against more advanced aircraft, in the right hands.
