February 19, 2022Huge parts count. Ok I've already glued the wing halves together.2
February 19, 2022Big instructions3
February 19, 2022For my model these parts are not needed.4
February 19, 2022Kit decals. I think I'll stick with the Max decals from the stash.5
February 19, 2022Besides decals only other aftermarket is these Aeroclub spatted u/c that were standard on IAC birds (and fitted to the preserved 34 I'm building)6
February 19, 20227
February 19, 2022Groovy cockpit details...8
February 19, 20229
February 19, 2022And that's the cockpit painted.10
February 19, 2022And cockpit finished11
February 19, 20221 hrs work.12
March 2, 2022Wings, tail, ailerons and elevators on. Primed. Tamiya LP-3.13
March 16, 2022Some progress now off work for a few days. Black was glossed and masked. Wing tricolour stripes painted. (Decided against decals).14
March 16, 2022Stripes masked.15
March 16, 2022Silver paint on wings (Tamiya Lacquer paint) and AK metal for the polished metal cowling.16
March 16, 2022Max Decals. Just the 34 and celtic bosses on the fuselage.17
March 16, 2022I actually don't have a photo showing all this at the same time. Delivery photo shows small 34 on fuse. 1945 photo is nearest to the model but I think cowling is black. Preserved aircraft in the museum shows the 34 and boss but silver painted cowling, or no boss like the title pic on this page. However, its my model and frankly I don't care!18
March 20, 2022On her legs!19
March 20, 2022Almost there!20
March 20, 2022And finished! Not my best effort but a good result for the amount of time and effort put in (not much of either, really). Did what it was intended to. Hassle free modelling.
