McLaren MP4/4 Honda - GP Japan 1988 - WIP

To start with something original, I decided to start with the figure of Senna. I took a racing driver figure from the 'Racing Pit Team', changed the head by a helmet, changed the arms by arms of a sitting driver with gloves. 

I also changed the position of the hands and the fingers. I added some detail to the race suit to make it look like a '90ies' suit instead of a late '70ies' suit. 

 

 

While I was doing the Senna figure that will be seated in the McLaren MP4/5, I decided to spraypaint the MP4/4 Senna figure as well. 

The body was sprayed with TS-08 Italian Red. Next I put on the MSM decals. 

Once the decals were dry, I could overspray the body with a flat coat. 

No I will start to paint the details, as well as finish the helmet. 

I strated to apply some basic colors to the racesuit, still a long way to go. 

I also started to paint the shoe logo's manually since there are no decals available in my set.
