The box... of course!
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/3/8/3/537383-26441-96-720.jpg)
Sprues... hmm... lots of Flash... I wonder if this is an old kit?
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/3/8/4/537384-26441-48-720.jpg)
Cut... glue... lots of sink marks... sanding will be happening.
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/7/6/6/537766-26441-54-720.jpg)
Let’s start by making something that looks like a cockpit.
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/9/5/9/538959-26441-43-720.jpg)
Paint on the cockpit and the second prop scratchbuilt.
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/9/5/7/538957-26441-35-720.jpg)
The fuselage is glued together and extra bits added to the cockpit.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/9/5/8/538958-26441-17-720.jpg)
Contra props in place... and resting on the floats.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/4/0/0/539400-26441-12-720.jpg)
So the legs are built, but not attached. The wings are sanded down...and I added a do-dad to the engine block. What’s next?
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/9/1/0/539910-26441-14-720.jpg)
Putty... and sanding... lots of sanding.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/4/5/6/548456-26441-73-720.jpg)
Sanding done and new panel lines/rivets scribed... all glued together.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/5/5/7/549557-26441-41-720.jpg)
Painted the whole thing silver and then masked it...
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/5/5/5/549555-26441-64-720.jpg)
Hmmm...
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/5/5/6/549556-26441-18-720.jpg)
I dunno... I’m not quite feeling it. Maybe the blue’s too dark...?
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/1/5/6/555156-26441-91-720.jpg)
Some more masking... hope I didn’t miss a spot!
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/1/5/5/555155-26441-64-720.jpg)
Only a couple of small masking errors. Looking pretty good now.
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/7/7/4/555774-26441-92-720.jpg)
Not sure about the rigging, but after several failed attempts using different materials, I’ll take what I can get.
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/7/7/5/555775-26441-90-720.jpg)
A bit extra around the engine... just because.
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/9/3/4/556934-26441-83-720.jpg)
A close up on the cockpit. Can't really see the decal instrument panel, but I think the scratchbuilt windscreen works better than the kit part. It's thinner at least.
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/9/3/5/556935-26441-89-720.jpg)
Tail painted, but I decided to redo the rigging... it never seems to want to come out the way I envision it, but oh, well.
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/9/3/6/556936-26441-63-720.jpg)
There we are... done.
