It says B-24D on the box, but it’s supposed to have all the parts for a B-24J. I checked before I bought it.

Yes indeed. The difference between the B-24D and the B-24J is all in the nose. To build the “D”, Minicraft provides an extra clear sprue... which I won’t use.

A quick dry fit to get an idea what we’re dealing with. Man, those sure are long wings.

The nice thing about big, long wings is that you can hide most of the wiring inside them.

I don’t trust the tolerance level for the motors, so let’s drill out the holes for the props. Just adding a bit of wiggle/wobble room.

I used a bit of plastic tubing from a drinking straw to help the CA glue stick... and keep it out of the areas where I don’t want it to go.

Wings wired and closed up. Motors all glued in place... now to match them up.

Everything attached. The drinking straw tubing came in handy and even made it easier to replace one whiny motor on the fly. Now for the moment of truth...

Success! Four motors. Four Props going ‘round... what a breeze!

Painted the interior cockpit green... because... why not?
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/4/3/9/710439-26441-46-720.jpg)
Glued together, but some putty and sanding required.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/4/0/9/714409-26441-63-720.jpg)
Pilots ready for action.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/2/8/4/716284-26441-28-720.jpg)
And we finally have some paint on it.

I managed to scuff it up a bit while masking off the bottom, so it'll need a few touch ups, but I'm pleased so far. I also scratched up some pilot tubes and radio antennas, as the kit didn't bother providing such things.

Propellers and wheels getting some paint too. You'd think I'd have remembered the red tail while I was painting the propellers, wouldn't you? Well, you'd be wrong.

One last safety check of the electronics... and we're good to go!
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/3/4/9/718349-26441-44-720.jpg)
And we're done (except for the radio antenna wire...)
